player notes

I'm having troubles importing/exporting player notes. Can anyone help me I keep getting this error msg "error opening file: c:\program files\pokerstars\notes.txt"

What version of Poker Tracker are you using?

I'm using windows XP and I have poker tracker (version 2.16.03d)

Install the latest PATCH, version 2.17.01g from this link (MAKE SURE YOU DOWNLOAD THE PATCH INSTALL, the second link on this page, and NOT the full version:

I added the patch and still can't get the notes exported or imported for that matter. I'm getting the same error msg as before.

I'm pretty sure the problem has to do with a recent Stars update (I'm having the same problem). See my post below and what Stars had to say. Unfortunately, I'm still not sure how to correct it though.

Thanx Kevin, I read through your stuff and the advice you got. I still can't get anything to work. I tried a couple other things and still nothing. Hopefully someone can figure this out and let me know cause sure ain't no computer genius. I've never used the import/export function of PT before so I'm not sure if it even works?
